New IndyLV Site Implemented and Upgraded

New Indy LV Site is now Live

Thank you for your patience as we overhauled the IndyLV website. The new platform allows for greater functionality needed by the community to support activities, agendas, and promote sharing our lives among the community. It also just received an upgrade to resolve some minor bugs.

Here is a list of some of the functionality that the new site offers...

• Full language translation support for the Latvian and English Language.
• Self registration that allows the entire community to start using the site quickly
• Administration Emails that allows leaders of organizations to (quickly and easily) send emails to all registered users.
• A Media Gallery where users can share their photos and videos
• Support for contributing authors, where certain users will be able to write and submit content to the site to be approved for use.
• Support for commenting on content. Some stories will allow for comments to be added.
• Voting Polls. User will see polls on the site periodically that they can vote in so that we can continually improve how we are doing on various topics.
• Community Forum to allow discussion among the community
• Full featured integrated Calendar System (much like the legacy calendar only integrated into a single platform)
• Classifieds so that we can support each other in the community by providing services and products to each other.
• Future functionality can enable eCommerce to support online giving and purchases.
• RSS Feeds to send you all the site updates to your preferred subscribed RSS feed reader. ( I currently use Google Reader).
